The disadvantage of generating sets in general is the noise they generate and the exhaust gases they generate.

Portable generator sets are mostly powered by gasoline engines. stationary models are also available with gas or diesel engines.

Units with "inverter technology" are suitable for the direct connection of electronic devices, as their voltage is regulated.

Power generators can also only be put into operation temporarily in order to charge batteries via a charger.
