Radio receiver

World receivers and crank radios

A radio receiver provides entertainment and information.

If you are in the transmission area of FM or DAB + transmitters, these can be received. Local radio stations regularly broadcast weather reports.

World receivers can receive signals over great distances. Such radios therefore also offer long, medium and short wave reception. Due to the different types of wave propagation (see separate chapter), it is possible that the desired station can only be received for a certain period of time, day or night.

Some radios also have special reception areas, e.g. in North America for reception from the NOAA weather services.

Especially for outdoor use there are "crank radios" with interesting additional functions such as USB charger, light, clock, etc.
